Jardons: 2nd Biennial Oregon Road Trip: Portland

After our weekend in Terrebonne we made the scenic route to Portland. We drove around Mt. Hood instead of through it like we did last time so we could check out Hood River and the Columbia River Gorge.

We stopped at a restaurant in Hood River thanks to a recommendation called Pfriem family brewery. It was really good! Adam enjoyed a good beer...

… and we all enjoyed our food!

In the men's restroom they had a changing table with this sign that welcomed papa's and let them know there are diapers and wipes in the cupboard below... he had to take baby E in for a photo op !

A picture outside the restaurant... behind us is the Columbia River which separates the states of Oregon and Washington so we're on the Oregon side and directly across those hills are Washington!

We stopped by Beepa's house before we would spend our weekend with him at the coast so we could say hi. We got our traditional motorcycle picture ; )

It took Jo awhile before he felt comfortable enough to get on!

Leila! Leila was my neighborhood bestie growing up... we played all over together and had so much fun growing up together. We got to see her and her little son and have pizza together with our families... it was so fun to see her!

FLASHBACK: Kurt remembered he had only ever held Josh at this little of an age and even then Josh was a little younger at just a few weeks old and Evie is 5 months old. He looks good holding these babies!!

The first night back in Portland one of my old neighborhood mamas held a dessert potluck for us. It was so cool! We moved into the neighborhood when I was 7 and I lived there until I moved away for college so these ladies have seen me grow up. They all have kiddos and a couple I went to high school with and some I even baby-sat! Now everyone is all growed up ; ) We had fun catching up and the kids really enjoyed the fire pit for s'mores!

I'm not sure exactly how this happened but I walked into our room at my mom's and found this...

Okay now get ready for this progression... lots of flashbacks from the railroad tracks at Meema's. This is the one thing the kids always remember about Meema's no matter how little they are/were when they went!
