All Day at the Museum

January was the first month that I finally got on my schedule for my work that I was hired for... one night a week : ) Sheer bliss! I had been doing 2-3 nights per week + classes so this was a huge blessing to finally cut back! I felt like I had so much time with the kiddos and I was anxious to get out and do some things with them. It is always busy and stressful after the holidays no matter how hard you try to relax and add on a new job and lots of extra hours!

We took a day and went to the museum as we hadn't been since I started back at work... we took our time to head out the door in the morning, I usually plan to leave by 10 then we're not rushed... well, we were rushing to leave the museum at closing time! I guess we all were ready for a day at the museum! We spent 6 hours there and still weren't ready to go!

They had fun during the AstroTot presentation dressing up like astronauts

We were there so late and I finally inquired about the science experiment station to see if they were old enough for it... well Amelia just barely is and they let Josh sneak in since no one else was there and they were close to closing : ) Look at those scientists!

They got to swab the inside of their mouths and put it on a slide and under a microscope to see the bacteria!
I love when they play together!

Splashing at the water table!

And they got to dress up like dinos during the prehistoric pals presentation!

And I was so happy to snap this shot before the screen changed... there's Amelia on the right, Lydia in the middle and Josh on the left : )
Goofing around at lunch time1

See you next time museum!
