Meema Noreen and Allen's Visit!

My mom and Allen were able to come out here to small town Alamosa to visit us during Stampede week at the end of July. For any of you in the valley you know Stampede is the week to be here! There's the carnival, parades, rodeo, concert, etc.! It's a blast!

Before the Stampede festivities we took a little day hike to see Zapata Falls

Tanko always enjoying a hike and Joshie always enjoying a ride on Tanko : )
Just checking out the view
Is this the view?
Allen is camouflaged into the rocks taking a break!
It's actually a tricky little path to make it back to the actual waterfall... you have to climb along these rocks on the side and hold on to the rope they have built into the wall... if you have water shoes and essentially non feeling bare feet then you could walk right in the water but it is FREEZING!!!
Do you see him? Tanko? He just piddled his way out there like it was nothing : )
Daddy made the trek amazingly with the 2 kiddos in tow : )
Meema watching Lyddie bug while I walked along to catch up with Adam
What a cutie! And a cute outfit thanks to Meema of course!
We made it all the way back into the freezing cold crevice to see the waterfall!
It was very tricky to get a good picture because the water was so freezing to stand in!
Resting my freezing feeties on a rock before we head back down
The way back down : ) First time in the backpack!
Joshie being carried by Allen on the way down
All the kiddos got carried on the way down : )

 Stopping to check the view!
Beautiful view of the San Luis Valley!
We also spent a day at Rio Grande Club to swim!
Or I guess just lay in the pool like so : )
We tried a day at the Inn of the Rio Grande which was somewhat of a bust... although they had a great slide!
 So fun!

And we had fun after the parade at Meema Devi's running in the sprinklers... don't be confused, the child in the pink shirt is indeed our SON Joshua : ) We were not prepared for sprinkler/pool playing and I didn't want him to get a sunburn and this is all we had!

I just love their faces in these pictures!
