At the end of April we headed out to Portland to see my family from London who was visiting my mom. We made the mistake of not bringing Benadryl for Amelia and thinking a late night flight would be perfect for her to sleep. She did not sleep except the very last 20 minutes of the 2 1/2 hour flight (and that after screaming for 10 minutes to the disturbance of everyone around us)! Mistakes in Parenting 101... bring Benadryl! This is her checking out all the airplanes...
We thought we'd expel some of her energy and she ran up and down these escalator things for about 30 minutes!`

My mom's bathroom is ginormous so Amelia would either look out the window every day (I'm not sure she knew what a real tree was prior to going) and this particular day she pulled up and picked out some books and read while I got ready
My cousin Sam gave her a Harrod's teddy bear named "Betty" so Amelia loved having Betty, George and her Didi (baby) with her every second...
