Adventures in Homeownership

We got the keys to our new home two days ago! We are so excited to get all settled in, the process has been a bit daunting but we just look forward to August or so when hopefully everything is ready and settled. Our first adventure was learning our garage door actually is not working properly!!!! The one thing we looked forward to the most about owning a home and not being in an apt is for the garage and it doesn't even open or close!!!! Hopefully we will get this working in the next few days or so. The second adventure was realizing OUR WATER IS TURNED OFF!!! The electricity has been on and when the house inspector was there she tested the dishwasher and all the faucets and said they were all working fine... so I assumed we just needed to have the utilities change it into our name and that would be it. Little did we know our little inspector lady must have had some special rights to turn on the water for that visit and it got turned back off!!! And our third adventure (yes this is only day 2 of homeownership yikes!) was when we purchased a fridge from Home Depot. We saved some money and put the fridge in the back of the 4runner but when we got back to the house we realized the neighbor across the street who so kindly said he would wait around and help Adam move it in decided he'd rather have the night off! After pacing back and forth trying to figure out last minute what to do Adam decided to go knocking on another neighbor's door who (definitely provided by God) ended up being a contractor with a dolly and he had 2 other friends over there so the 4 of them and the dolly got the fridge to our kitchen! And after all that moving our neighbor's two friends offered their Air Conditioning and Plumbing services to us!!!!! No need to stress... the Lord will always provide : ) Here are some pictures of us entering our doorstep of our first home : ) We'll post more pictures once we get our stuff settled in!
