Meema's May Visit: Zoo and Museum

Meema's annual May visit. This has been fun and working well to have her come out around Lydia's birthday and all the end of the season/school year festivities!

Start with another zoo trip!

Look at this crew... no that school bus was not our transportation ; )

No you can't go in there!
There that's better...
She has no fear of these giraffe... it's crazy!

So happy Aunti Abbi and Jolene are here to go with us!

I don't think we've ever seen the rhino this close! He's always sitting way in the back lounging...

Kid selfie #1: Amelia and a lizard

Kid selfie #2: Joshua and the bear
The bear is so close!!!
Ice cream and slushie break...
Wallabies... so cute!
Tree kangaroo
Oh Mr. Gorilla... on one hand you are pretty handsome... on the other hand a little intimidating
And the King...
Feeding the fish

We were heading into a few days of being housebound so we decided another outing was in order before... so we headed up to the museum next...

Evie wasn't quite sure what to think of this weird fake rubbery sand stuff
Look Evie just pick it out of your toesies like this...

Brothers
Science demonstration... all lined up

Look at those cute piggy tails and overalls!

What a great picture of Jo the astronaut!
They had one of those mesmerize the mind special exhibits to test all your senses... here was the wacky room and the kids loved feeling all discombobulated! It took all my effort just to get this picture standing outside the room!
Whew... long day!
Awana awards ceremony! Unfortunately we did not do a great job on getting pictures of everyone receiving their awards but thankfully we got Jo since it was his first full year of cubbies! Good job Jo!
We headed to Red Robin for dinner the last night... stopped at Payless for their going out of business sale... and Benny didn't want to go anywhere without his new little shark backpack... looks like he's headed to school!
