Meema Noreen was able to come out for Lydia's 5th birthday this year. Her birthday ended up being on the same night as the Awana awards. So we went out to Chick Fil A before Awana and opened a few presents then went on to award night. For her birthday she wanted to invite some friends over to the house for a special party that weekend. It's fun when you get to celebrate your birthday on more than one day!
Since we had such a full day on her b-day we decided to let her open her big present on her b-day eve... her new purple bike!

She also got a new pair of rollerblades... I love that she's wearing her Awana vest with all her awards attached! She couldn't wait to get home from awards night to try on her blades
And bright and early the next day... can't wait to blade after breakfast haha!
Birthday party! We've got a pretty good rhythm for a scaled down birthday party at the house... I set up a table of easy appetizers and print off coloring sheets/crafts for whatever theme the birthday kid picks out and then we let all the kiddos just go crazy in the basement... love the basement here!
Lydia picked frozen theme and after the awesome Power Rangers photo board from Amelia's party last year they spent some time making a frozen themed board! Here's Daddy, Lydia and Jo ; )
