We had our first "Friendsgiving" this year. I hear it's the new thing? We weren't able to have any family come and visit and our old "baby-sitters" (although they were much more than that to us!) who moved away to Arizona were willing and able and excited to come spend the holiday with us! The kids were so excited. We miss them so much!
Here's Kay Kay!
And Lo Lo (or Logan haha_
Everybody wearing their vests
It was almost 70 degrees on Thanksgiving day!
I love when we get to put our table extender on (i.e. move the table from the kitchen into the living room) and set the table for a big feast! Joey and Diana usually pop over for both holidays for a time so we set the table extra big for them.
I also decided after looking at last year's table that I really did need to fancy this year up a bit so we got out the china and some Thanksgiving plates for the kiddos and some flowers.
Feasting in action!
A little Black Friday shopping the next day!
We headed over to Garden of the Gods on Saturday
We had a little picnic in the park... it was so busy we couldn't find any spots so we just sat off the path in the dirt!
I like how this one turned out with Benny in the front!
We drove into Manitou after the park since we were so close and where we parked we walked right past a fire station... turned out one of the firemen must have been a little bored and with the right timing he saw us walk by and asked if the kids would want to check out the truck... uh, yeah!
Eating ice cream from Josh & John's!
Playing at the penny arcade! Or at least it used to be a penny... years ago!
This one had a longggg day ; )
And last but not least we headed to Bass Pro Shop for their very last Black Friday deals ending that day and to check out the North Pole workshop they had opened. They had these fun play areas for the kids... digging in the dirt
test driving the motorized cars
archery
a nice photo op in front of the fish! We did get a pic with Santa as well!
And one last celebration was Kaylyn's birthday which was just a couple of days after they were leaving!
This isn't her first birthday celebration at La Casa de Jardon!
Happy Friendsgiving! We're so thankful you two (three with Bode) came to spend it with us!
