Last summer we made our trip out to Oregon so this summer Meema Noreen was able to come visit us! We decided we had never gone to the North Pole (Santa Claus' Village) with her and it was about time she lived out that experience!
Daddy and Benny driving in the cars... good thing it's the good driver in the seat ; )
Big man Joshie driving by himself!
I've got a gentleman driving me around too!
The fam in front of the big slide
Santa!
Gondola!
This is their favorite ride! It's the one that goes all the way to the top and then drops them down little bits at a time...
I love Santa Claus Village b/c they have such a great selection of rides and the kids can ride almost all of them! Beats the carnival where there's only 1 or 2 they are tall enough for!
Daddy and Amelia on the fast roller coaster
Is this a cute boy or what?!?!
All that cuteness needed a nap
Train ride
Feeding the goats
The world's tallest ferris wheel! It gets an advantage from the altitude!
I bought a summer pool pass for the Y not really thinking it through seeing as how Adam just starting his new job is working like crazy and there's no way for the safety of all that I'm going to take all the kids swimming by myself. However we did discover this roped off area of Prospect Lake near downtown that is owned by the Y. I went once by myself and it was very manageable! The water is not very deep at the entrance in and the kids had so much fun just playing in the sand they weren't too interested in swimming far out anyways. Well, we went with Meema and brought some floaties and let the kids wander a little farther out in the water and had a great time!
We've had this thing in a box for years... glad to finally get some use out of it!
How about this for a set up!
Lunch in the sand... yum!
And our usual visit to the regular Y pool
Although this one had a fire drill!!! So random and not very much fun when you're all in the pool swimming... although I'm thankful it was during the summer and not the winter... could you imagine?!?!
Meema Noreen took the kids shoe shopping! Jordans were found for all! Uncle Kurt would be so proud!
A very natural pose for when wearing Jordans ; )
