On our way back to Portland from the coast we decided to go a little out of the way and drive up the coastline to Tillamook. Another place I remember visiting growing up on a field trip. It was well worth the extra drive we had some awesome surprises such as the coolest lunch stop as well as an awesome coffee mug souvenir : )
Farmer Amelia!
Sampling cheese!
Waiting in line for ice cream... well, everyone but mama and baby of course : )
Checking out the factory ...
... here are the big blocks of cheese before they get packaged and sent out
On the Tillamook bus
We weren't sure what to do for lunch and wanted to eat some authentic clam chowder (again) for our last meal at the coast... we tried finding somewhere in Tillamook and drove a few minutes outside of town and found this most random yet most delicious tiny restaurant that we weren't even sure if it was a restaurant until we got there. It was so good and it was right now a bay and the kids had so much fun digging for clams and crawdads!
Pacific Shore Restaurant
It was so beautiful!
Ummm what's that? Says Jo...
Digging away... !
Showing off her dolphin necklace she got at the aquarium
How sweet is this... we'll pretend Josh thinks so too : )
