Epic Trip to Portland!

WE DID IT!!!!

We made an EPIC road trip to Portland! We drove for 2 days to visit my family. At this point it seemed easier to drive than to fly once you consider the cost of flight tickets and packing everything in a suitcase and the fact it takes 2 cars to pick us up or to rent another vehicle large enough for us and what do we do with Tank AND not to mention the actual flight... Amelia and Joshua would probably do okay and maybe even Lydia but the excitement of the actual airplane ride would definitely die down quickly and lugging all those bodies and all that stuff all around the airport! Let's just say even though it took 2 days to drive there our kiddos are somewhat used to long road trips (AZ to CO) that we found a groove and everyone did awesome!

Here we are all crammed in. I had spent the week on Pinterest and made some Road Trip binders... they worked pretty well, mainly Amelia and Josh appreciated them but it was still tricky for them to access everything when the car was so cramped!
And stickers for Jo which kept him entertained well!
We stopped at Little America, Wyoming! It seemed illogical to drive past this gem and not stop... we actually saw a car that said "just married" drive in, we joked they were there on their honeymoon!
It was the perfect stop to get food and get wiggles out!

We stopped at a hotel in Twin Falls, Idaho and I made sure they had a 24 hr pool : ) That was a must for these kiddos!

Twin Falls has this awesome canyon with a lake and golf course in it... it is so beautiful and if our trip wasn't so packed already we would've stayed there a whole day!

It was a little eerie with the kiddos so close to this ledge and seeing what was underneath but we managed it and got some good pictures!
