More Summer Fun

We got some free tickets to a Switchbacks soccer game which is right by our house so we thought we'd go check out the soccer game. It turned out it was a pretty important game, some sort of cup, but we only made it through the first half! It was bleacher seating facing the sun and the kiddos were super bored! At least it was free and it was fun that we got to ride our bikes to the game!

Riding bikes to the game

Every couple of months the kiddos get out their dress up box and then it's Ninja Turtles, Captain America and Princesses usually all week... here is the Ninja Turtle trying to use the hole in his mask to make his food to his mouth!

Here's the cowboy day
Josh being a silly boy while the girls sleep together : )

A trip to the creek by our house to throw rocks

We continued on our dinner table fiasco and purchased this simple used set off Craigslist and then I repainted all the chairs : ) I was pretty happy with the results! Thank you Pinterest!

The girls painting their toes

Josh just wanted me to take some sort of boys picture after the girls picture... so here are the boys eating a snack!
Adam snuck into the Sky Sox game with the kiddos one night... it's so convenient it's just a bike ride away!

Lydia is moving on from the disaster that was Sox the Fox knocking her down last summer!

And our first ultrasound picture that you can make out baby #5! What a cutie already!

Again, the dress up thing! This was our neighbor's costume accessories the kiddos all asked to borrow for a picture

So we went to the museum with some friends of ours... stay reading for the adventure the whole day turned out but before the adventure here they all are in the spaceship exploring

Well shortly after this we went outside to change into our swimsuits and let the kiddos play at the splash pad and have lunch. Josh wrapped himself with a towel after splashing for a bit and started walking to sit down for lunch and tripped over the end of the towel and since his hands were wrapped up he used his chin to break his fall! Yes, the same chin he busted open playing American Ninja Warrior last fall! Well, that warranted a little trip to the ER in Denver. Thank you to my lovely friend Rachel who took the girls and her kiddos back into the museum while I took the boys to the ER!

We're getting used to pictures like this!
And this! Poor guy! He didn't need stitches again but they put dermabond (super glue) on to get it to close again!
Rachel said everyone had fun and the girls did great! I'm glad it wasn't a busted afternoon for everyone!
We also went with Rachel and her kiddos to Bear Creek... one of my favorite places in Colorado Springs. We met there to play at the playground, walk on the trail, splash in the creek and have lunch. Well, Josh of course also convinced the horses from the nearby equestrian center to come say hello : )

All the kiddos splashing in the creek

And now I'm not sure what happened here... this was in our backyard. I was getting lunch ready and they were playing with the water table and all of a sudden I heard a bunch of giggling... when I looked I saw a naked baby Jo and Lydia wiping his booty!!! Not sure how this all transpired and fortunately there was no poop involved so we all just laughed it off!

Amelia has been sitting in the middle row next to Jo and she's so funny because she'll frequently ask for my phone to take a picture of Jo being cute : )

Cooling off in the afternoon down in the basement for a movie

Jo slipped on Lydia's helmet and climbed onto her bike all by himself... he didn't make it anywhere but he sure looked cute!

And Lydia looks so cute too riding her big girl bike with training wheels!

Piggy backs from big sister!

Hmmmm... maybe because he needed a hair cut?!?!
